Valorant patch 13.06 went live on September 22, 2026, and Riot calls it its biggest patch of the year. For ranked players, three changes matter. Performance Score replaces ACS on the scoreboard. Rank Legacy counts how many times you've reached each rank. The Warden is a new 2,900-credit rifle with a 2x scope.
One thing didn't change, and it's the one most players will ask about first. Riot's patch notes don't say Performance Score touches your RR. It decides MVP and your scoreboard position. Nothing in 13.06 ties it to rank gains or losses.
Key takeaways
- Performance Score is a 0–500 number that replaces Average Combat Score (ACS). It sets MVP and scoreboard order in Competitive, Unrated, Swiftplay and Premier.
- Riot's notes don't link Performance Score to RR or MMR. Treat any claim that it changes your rank gains as unconfirmed.
- Rank Legacy counts each rank once per three-Act window (Acts I–III, then IV–VI). Demoting into a rank doesn't count.
- The Warden costs 2,900 credits: 50 body damage, 200 to the head, 18 rounds, 2x scope.
- The same patch notes report Riot banning 1,600 accounts a day for boosting and smurfing, over 90,000 since July 20.
What Is Performance Score in Valorant?

Performance Score is Valorant's new per-match rating, on a scale from 0 to 500. Riot says it "measures more than just damage and kills to paint a fuller picture of your contributions to a match" (VALORANT Patch Notes 13.06). It fully replaces Average Combat Score.
Here's what it does, going by the patch notes:
- It picks the MVP. MVP now follows Performance Score instead of ACS.
- It sorts the scoreboard. Your position on the scoreboard follows it in every mode that has it.
- It explains itself. The new End of Game screen shows what impacted your score, where you can improve, and how close you were to a "Masterful" game.
- It covers four modes. Riot lists Competitive, Unrated, Swiftplay and Premier.
Riot hasn't published the formula. The notes say the score covers "more than just damage and kills", and that Riot is watching feedback as it plans updates. Until Riot says more, the End of Game breakdown is the only official view into what counts.
Accolades: the stat tracker that came with it
13.06 also added Accolades, personal bests for stats like MVP count and most kills in a game. Each Accolade tracks your best for the current Act and your lifetime. Two limits from the notes: they only count in Competitive and Premier, and history doesn't carry over. Everyone started at zero on September 22.
Does Performance Score Change Your RR?
Not according to the 13.06 patch notes. They describe Performance Score as a scoreboard, MVP and feedback tool. They don't mention RR or MMR (matchmaking rating, the hidden number that sets who you play against) in the same section at all.
So your rank still moves the way it did before the patch. The RR tuning from the start of Act 4 still applies: patch 13.00 adjusted RR "so you feel a little less stuck if you are consistently winning matches" (VALORANT Patch Notes 13.00). 13.06 doesn't change it.
Performance Score is still useful for climbing, just not as a rank multiplier. The End of Game breakdown now shows where a game went wrong. It's a rough, automatic version of the notes a Valorant coach gives after a VOD review. If you want the long version, the guide to Valorant coaching for aim and game sense covers which habits move rank and which don't.
How Does Rank Legacy Count Your Ranks?

Rank Legacy is a trophy case in the new Competitive Hub, opened from your Career page. It shows how many times you've reached each rank across your Competitive career, and flags a new peak.
The counting rules are short, and they decide what's worth grinding for:
The practical result: within one window, each rank counts once. Riot hasn't said whether ranks from before 13.06 count toward the current window, so check your Rank Legacy page before you plan around it. A rank you haven't reached this window will add to the count. If you're one rank short of a new tier this Season, the end of Act 6 is the last chance to put it in the current window. Act 5 is expected to end around October 13 in the Americas, though Riot hasn't posted the date. The Act 5 end date and Act 6 reset guide has the regional times.
Rank Legacy doesn't replace the Act Rank badge. The badge still takes your highest winning rank in an Act, and still needs 9 Competitive wins (Riot Games Support: Act Ranks and Rewards). Rank Legacy only adds a lifetime count beside it.
Warden Stats: Price, Damage and Time to Kill

The Warden is an automatic rifle in the same 2,900-credit tier as the Vandal and Phantom. Riot built it as "a distinct long-range option", with a 2x scope where the other two have 1.25x. Here's the Warden beside the Vandal, using Riot's notes and the Riot-supported VALORANT Wiki:
The wiki's time-to-kill table puts the Warden at 3 body shots in 0.308 seconds against a full 150 HP (100 health plus heavy armor). The Vandal needs 4 body shots at 40 each. At 9.75 rounds a second, those 4 shots take the same 0.308 seconds.
So the Warden doesn't kill faster to the body. It kills with fewer bullets, which matters with 18 in the magazine. Both rifles kill with one headshot at any range. The Warden trades fire rate and ammo for zoom and bigger single hits. That suits held angles and long sightlines more than entry fights. 13.06 has no agent balance changes, so the Warden is the only change to the standard competitive sandbox.
Agent Mastery: What Resets Each Act

Agent Mastery replaces the old Agent Gear system with progress per agent. Play Clove and Clove levels up; play Sova and Sova does. Everyone started at zero on September 22. Previous playtime doesn't carry over, though any Agent Gear rewards you already unlocked stay unlocked.
Two tracks run on the same Mastery Points:
Every Act Level also adds a Lifetime Level. Riot's notes say wins and strong performance grant bonus Mastery Points. Unlike Performance Score, this one feeds a progression track, and what it unlocks is cosmetic.
Riot's Boosting Numbers in the Same Patch

The first item in the 13.06 notes isn't a feature. Riot says its boosting detection "has been making an impact on smurfs and boosters": 1,600 accounts banned per day, over 90,000 since July 20 (VALORANT Patch Notes 13.06).
Riot's anti-cheat team explained the system five days earlier (Vanguard: Anti-Boost, Pro-Skill, September 17, 2026). It flags accounts where a large share of ranked progress comes from a higher-rated player logging in. The post counts 296,416 accounts actioned for rank manipulation across League of Legends and Valorant since late 2025. Riot says the penalties are:
- ranked points and rewards removed, and the account returned to its earlier rating
- a suspension that gets longer with each offense
- permanent bans for purchased smurf accounts
- the same rank removal for "hitchhikers" who repeatedly queued with boosters on smurfs
Riot's list of punishable behaviour names account sharing with a boosting service. It also names "paying boosters to queue with you on smurfs, even if you're playing on your own account". Riot says alternate accounts you created, leveled and never shared are fine, as long as you don't use them to carry friends.
This lands right on Rank Legacy. A rank Riot takes back doesn't stay in your trophy case, and the suspension comes with it. We'd rather you read Riot's rules before buying anything, including from us, because your account is the one on the line. The Act 5 guide covers the penalties Riot started issuing in patch 13.01.
What's Next After 13.06
Riot listed three more competitive features in the 13.06 notes:
Riot hasn't described Competitive Flex beyond the name. Some sites report a rank-based "competitive coin" already live in Act 5. The official notes put Competitive Flex in 14.00, so treat anything earlier as a rumor.
How to Use Patch 13.06 to Climb
- Read your End of Game breakdown, not just the number. It shows where your Performance Score dropped, which is the part you can fix.
- Check Rank Legacy for gaps. A rank you haven't reached in Acts IV–VI still counts if you reach it before Act 6 ends.
- Buy the Warden on held angles and long sightlines. On entry fights, the Vandal's 25-round magazine still gives you more room to miss.
- Get to 9 wins in Act 5 if you haven't. That's still the minimum for an Act Rank badge and ranked rewards.
Every Pairly Valorant format is on the Valorant boosting page, with the price shown as you pick your current and target rank. Coaching puts an Immortal III or Radiant player in your party who explains the calls as you play. Duo Games buys a fixed block of games with an Immortal+ player in your lobby. Net Wins sets a number of wins instead of a rank, and Leveling covers the climb to level 20, where Competitive unlocks.
Riot's rules above apply to all of these, ours included. Account sharing, and queuing with a booster on an account they don't own, can both cost you the rank and a suspension. Read Riot's anti-boost post before you order anything.
Valorant Patch 13.06 FAQ
Does Performance Score affect RR in Valorant?
Riot's 13.06 patch notes don't say so. Performance Score sets MVP and scoreboard position. RR still works as it did after patch 13.00.
What happened to ACS?
Performance Score replaced it in 13.06. It runs from 0 to 500 and shows on the scoreboard in Competitive, Unrated, Swiftplay and Premier.
Does Rank Legacy count ranks from before patch 13.06?
Riot describes the page as a look back at "the ranks you've achieved over time", but the notes don't explain how older Acts are counted. Open the Competitive Hub from Career to see your own numbers.
Is the Warden better than the Vandal?
Not in every fight. Both kill with one headshot at any range and take 0.308 seconds to kill with body shots. The Warden has a 2x scope and fewer bullets; the Vandal fires faster and carries more.
When is the next Valorant patch?
Riot named 13.08 for Map Rating and 14.00 for Competitive Flex. Act 5 is expected to end around October 13–14, 2026. That's an estimate; Riot hasn't posted the date.
The Short Version
Patch 13.06 changes how Valorant shows your game, not how it ranks you. Performance Score replaces ACS, Rank Legacy counts your ranks, and the Warden adds a scoped option at 2,900. Your RR still comes from winning, and the ranks that count are the ones that stay on your account.
