The Valorant rank distribution in Act 6 peaks at Gold, with 22.10% of ranked PC players, and the median player sits in Gold 2. Reach Diamond 1 and you are in the top 22.22%. Reach Immortal 1 and you are in the top 1.84%. Only 0.03% hold Radiant, though that top end is the least reliable part of the data (see below).

Those figures come from vstats.gg's rank distribution for V26 Act 6, last updated on October 19, 2026. We pulled the raw counts behind the page, 2,763,074 players in all, and worked out the cumulative shares and the six regions ourselves. Act 6 began on October 13, 2026, so the act itself is six days old. We update the figures each act; this version is from October 19, 2026.

Key takeaways

  • Gold is the largest rank group at 22.10%, then Silver at 19.29% and Platinum at 18.99%.
  • The median player is Gold 2. Platinum 1 or higher is 41.21% of players, Diamond 1 or higher is 22.22%.
  • Immortal 1 or higher is 1.84%. Radiant is 865 players, 0.03%.
  • Diamond or higher runs from 19.99% in Korea to 23.10% in Europe.
  • The Immortal and Radiant counts are lower bounds: vstats documents no method, and the Act 6 reset depresses the top end (see the data section).

vstats describes its page as "a breakdown of the ranked playerbase by tier in the current act" (vstats.gg rank distribution, PC, all regions, updated October 19, 2026). Grouped by rank, it looks like this:

Three jumps in the "at or above" column stand out:

  • Silver 1 to Gold 1 moves you from the top 82.59% to the top 63.31%. That is about 19.3 points of percentile in one rank step.
  • Platinum 1 to Diamond 1 moves you from the top 41.21% to the top 22.22%, which is 18.99 points. Diamond 1 is the 77.8th percentile.
  • Immortal 1 to Immortal 2 cuts the field from 1.84% to 0.31%. Immortal 1 holds 1.53% of all players and Immortal 2 and 3 together 0.28%. The Act 6 reset likely inflates that split, as covered below.

What Is the Average Rank in Valorant?

The median rank is Gold 2. Add up the shares from the bottom and you pass 50% inside Gold 2: 47.05% of players are Gold 3 or higher, and 54.61% are Gold 2 or higher. If you are Gold 2, about half of ranked players are above you and half below.

The most common single division is Gold 1 at 8.69%. The most common rank group is Gold at 22.10%. The three are different measures: the median is where half the players are above and half below, the mode is the single biggest bucket.

Valorant Rank Distribution by Region

vstats publishes one file per region, and the six add up to the all-regions total of 2,763,074. Every region has the same hill shape, and the top end is where they differ.

Korea has the thinnest top: 19.99% at Diamond or higher and 1.17% at Immortal or higher, against 2.02% in Europe. Europe and North America are almost level at Diamond or higher, 23.10% against 23.07%.

The spread between the highest and lowest region at Diamond or higher is 3.11 points, and at Immortal or higher it is 2.02% against 1.17%. The sample sizes differ a lot too, from 151,811 players in Latin America to 1,016,329 in Asia-Pacific. Radiant is where the data looks thinnest, for two reasons. First, the Act 6 reset moves every Radiant player down to Immortal until they climb back, so 60 Radiants in North America six days in is expected. Second, the Act 5 file counts only 137 Radiants in North America, where the 500th player on the region's leaderboard sat on 302 RR on September 23 (see our Challenger, Grandmaster and Radiant cutoffs table). The dates differ, so the comparison isn't exact, but 137 against a full top 500 says the vstats sample misses most of the top end.

Rank Distribution Change Since Act 5

On the vstats Act 5 file as it stands today, Iron was 5.54% and Diamond or higher was 19.12%. In Act 6 those are 3.74% and 22.22%.

Act 62,763,074

Iron, Bronze, Silver and Gold lost share, Platinum through Immortal gained it, and Radiant slipped from 0.05% to 0.03%. We can't say how much of that is real. Act 6 is six days old, and an act's first week isn't an act's last week. vstats also counted about 1.1 million more players for Act 6 than for Act 5, and its page doesn't say why.

One pattern in the table fits a known rule. As a share of players, Immortal 1 went from 0.73% in the Act 5 file to 1.53% in Act 6, while Immortal 3 fell from 0.23% to 0.08% (in counts, from 12,210 to 42,290 and from 3,876 to 2,348). Riot cuts Immortal and Radiant RR to 10% at every new Act and moves Radiant players down to Immortal, as our Act 6 rank reset guide explains, so those players start the act in Immortal 1 and climb back. That is consistent with the data, though vstats doesn't say so. Treat Immortal 2, Immortal 3 and Radiant as lower bounds for the first weeks of an act.

Another source gives a different picture on a different date. EloBoss, a boosting service, lists January 2026 at Iron 6.8%, Silver 21.6%, Diamond 10.3% and Ascendant 5% (EloBoss, Valorant ranks guide, as of January 2026). Compare a table with the same source and the same act, not across the two.

Where Does the Valorant Rank Data Come From?

vstats.gg doesn't describe its method on the rank page or in its rank-system blog post. Inven Global's April 2025 write-up says the site's admins "update the graphs with the most recent data from all ranked matches in the game," and adds that "the available data set may not cover the entire player base" (Inven Global, Valorant rank distribution explained, April 2, 2025). The same article says Riot doesn't release official data on rank distributions. That was April 2025, so check whether Riot has changed that before you rely on it.

So three limits apply to every number above:

  1. It isn't Riot's data. vstats says it isn't endorsed by Riot, and Inven Global reported in April 2025 that Riot publishes no official distribution.
  2. Its sample is not documented on the page. Inven describes it as all ranked matches, but vstats itself gives no method note, and the Radiant count suggests the top end is incomplete. We can't say who is in the count or who is left out.
  3. It's a snapshot. The page was updated on October 19, 2026, six days into the act. Ranks keep moving through the act. Our Act 6 rank reset guide covers why only one placement game was needed.

The percentages and cumulative columns in this article are our arithmetic on vstats's raw counts. The counts themselves are theirs.

What Does the Distribution Mean for Your Climb?

  • Gold and Platinum are the crowd. Gold 1 holds 8.69% and Platinum 1 holds 8.24%, the two largest divisions on the ladder.
  • Diamond holds more than everything above it. Its 13.01% is more than Ascendant, Immortal and Radiant combined, which come to 9.20%. Each division from Diamond 1 to Ascendant 3 cuts the share still above it by 24 to 42%.
  • Immortal 1 holds most of Immortal. 1.53% of players are Immortal 1 and 0.28% are Immortal 2 or 3, though the Act 6 reset inflates that gap.
  • Radiant is a leaderboard place. It is decided by position in your region's top 500 (we track four regions: Europe, North America, Asia-Pacific and Korea) plus a minimum RR, set out in our cutoffs table.

Your account level and party also shape where you queue. You need level 20 to open ranked, which our Valorant level 20 guide works through, and the duo queue rank limits decide who you can climb with.

If you want to skip a stretch of the ladder, the Valorant boosting page shows the price as you pick your current and target rank, and coaching has a high-rank coach watch your stream and talk you through your games. Riot's rules apply to account sharing, ours included. Read Riot's anti-boost post before you order anything.

Valorant Rank Distribution FAQ

What percent of Valorant players are Diamond or higher?

In Act 6 it is 22.22% on vstats's all-regions PC data, October 19, 2026. That is Diamond 1 or any higher rank.

What percent of Valorant players are Radiant?

0.03%, which is 865 of the 2,763,074 players vstats counted. Treat that as a lower bound: Radiant is the top of each region's leaderboard, the Act 6 reset has just moved Radiant players down to Immortal, and the vstats count misses much of the top end.

What percentile is Diamond in Valorant?

Diamond 1 is the 77.8th percentile: 22.22% of players are at that rank or higher, so 77.78% are below it. Diamond 3 is the top 12.10%.

What is the most common rank in Valorant?

Gold, at 22.10% of players. The most common single division is Gold 1 at 8.69%.

Is Gold 2 average in Valorant?

Yes, in this data. Gold 3 or higher is 47.05% of players and Gold 2 or higher is 54.61%, so the middle falls inside Gold 2.

Does Riot publish the official rank distribution?

Inven Global's April 2025 article says Riot doesn't release official rank-distribution data. Third-party sites such as vstats estimate it.

Why do different sites show different rank distributions?

Differences can come from the date, the method or the sample, and vstats documents no method on the page. EloBoss's January 2026 figures put Iron at 6.8%, while vstats shows 3.74% in Act 6. Always check the source and the date before you compare two tables.

The Short Version

In Valorant's Act 6, the middle of the ladder is Gold: 22.10% of players, with the median in Gold 2. Just over a fifth of ranked PC players (22.22%) are Diamond 1 or higher, 1.84% are Immortal 1 or higher, and vstats counts 865 Radiant. Regions differ by about three points at Diamond or higher, with Korea thinnest and Europe fullest. The numbers come from vstats.gg, not from Riot, and the top end is incomplete, so use them to place yourself up to Diamond and read Immortal 2, Immortal 3 and Radiant as lower bounds.
