On September 23, 2026, you needed 2,195 LP to hold Challenger on EU West and 1,616 LP to hold Grandmaster. On North America the same seats took 1,697 and 1,094 LP. In Valorant, the 500th player in Europe sat on 594 RR, while in North America 302 RR was enough for Radiant.

We read these numbers every day, because Pairly prices Master+ and Radiant orders from them. This page publishes one day of that table: six League servers, four Valorant regions, and a two-day comparison you won't find on a leaderboard.

Key takeaways

  • EU West had the highest Grandmaster cutoff (1,616 LP) and the highest Challenger cutoff (2,195 LP) of the six League servers we track.
  • EU Nordic & East came close at the top (2,019 LP for Challenger) with 200 Challenger seats, against 300 on EU West.
  • Grandmaster cutoffs rose on all six servers between September 21 and 23. Challenger moved both ways.
  • Valorant Radiant took 628 RR in Asia-Pacific and 594 RR in Europe, about twice the 302 RR of North America.
  • In Korea the 500th player had 195 RR, under the 200 RR Radiant minimum, so 200 RR was the entry point.

League of Legends: Grandmaster and Challenger LP by Server

The cutoff is the LP of the lowest-ranked player currently holding the tier. Beat it at the daily recalculation and you take a seat; fall under it and you drop.

Solo/Duo queue, read from Riot's League API on September 23, 2026 at 10:07 UTC.

Three things stand out.

EU West was the most expensive server at both tiers. Its Grandmaster cutoff alone was higher than Oceania's and Turkey's Challenger cutoffs. EUW shares the largest seat count with Korea and North America (700 Grandmaster, 300 Challenger, per Riot), so a small tier doesn't explain the number.

EU Nordic & East had the widest step from Grandmaster to Challenger. The gap between its two cutoffs was 661 LP, the most of the six. EUNE also had the highest single LP total on any server we read, 4,563.

Korea had lower LP overall than its reputation suggests. The Korean Challenger cutoff (1,776 LP) sat below EUW and EUNE, and its top player had 2,727 LP, the second-lowest peak here. Korea has the same seat count as EUW. The lower numbers describe LP on this day, not who would win a game.

For how LP turns into promotions and why your gains shrink near the top, see why you lose more LP than you gain.

How Grandmaster and Challenger Cutoffs Work

700 seats, then 300 at the topGrandmaster and Challenger on EU West, Korea and North America

Riot sets two conditions for each tier (Master, Grandmaster, and Challenger: The Apex Tiers, Riot Games Support, published May 30, 2026):

  • Grandmaster: at least 400 LP, and more LP than the lowest Grandmaster player in your region.
  • Challenger: at least 800 LP, and more LP than the lowest Challenger player in your region.

Each server has a fixed number of seats. Riot recalculates all Master+ players once a day, when the clock hits midnight in the region's local time, and reorders them by who meets the rules.

Two practical consequences follow. First, passing the cutoff at 2 pm doesn't promote you at 2 pm. What counts is your LP when the midnight recalculation runs, and if other players climb in the meantime, the line you have to beat moves up with them. Second, the 400 and 800 LP minimums only decide anything when a tier has empty seats. On all six servers the real cutoff was far above them.

All values in LP.

Grandmaster went up on every server, and on EU West it went up by 199 LP in two days. A player sitting on 1,500 LP on September 21 was inside Grandmaster that day and outside it two days later without playing a game.

Challenger moved in both directions. Two days is a short window, and a handful of players at the top can move a tier's floor either way, so read this table as a sign of how volatile the line is, not as a trend.

Valorant: Radiant and Immortal 3 RR by Region

Radiant takes two things: a place in your region's top 500, and a minimum RR that Riot sets per region based on its population and RR spread (VALORANT Episode 2 Act I Competitive Changes). The RR you need is whichever of the two is higher.

Competitive queue, read through the HenrikDev leaderboard API (v3), which publishes each region's leaderboard and tier minimums. Updated between 10:04 and 10:05 UTC on September 23, 2026.

Asia-Pacific and Europe took about twice as much as North America. The 500th player in APAC had 628 RR and in Europe 594 RR. In North America the 500th player had 302 RR, two points above the 300 RR minimum, so Radiant there sat almost on its floor.

Korea had empty Radiant seats. The player at rank 500 in Korea had 195 RR, below the region's 200 RR Radiant minimum. Fewer than 500 Korean players met the Radiant bar on this day, so 200 RR was enough.

The same numbers set what a League of Legends rank boost or a Valorant rank boost to Challenger or Radiant costs on Pairly, because we price those orders against the live cutoff for your region.

Method and Sources

  • League of Legends: Riot's League API (league-v4), the Grandmaster and Challenger league endpoints for the Solo/Duo queue, one request per server. The cutoff is the lowest LP among the players the API lists in the tier, and never lower than Riot's 400 or 800 LP minimum. The highest LP is the top player listed in Challenger.
  • Valorant: the HenrikDev Systems leaderboard API, version 3. The RR needed for Radiant is the RR of the player at leaderboard rank 500, or the region's Radiant minimum when rank 500 falls below it. The minimums come from the tier thresholds the same leaderboard publishes. We track Europe, North America, Asia-Pacific and Korea, the regions Pairly sells; Brazil and LATAM are not included.
  • September 21 values: Pairly's last-known reading of each region, stored in our pricing configuration on September 21, 2026. The time of day of that reading was not recorded.
  • Timing: Riot recalculates each server at its own local midnight, so a reading at 10:07 UTC lands at a different point in each server's day. A player who fell under the line after the last recalculation keeps the tier until the next one, which means the lowest listed LP can sit slightly below the LP you would need to take a seat at the next recalculation.
  • Limits: a cutoff is only correct for the moment it was read, and both games change every day. Use the date on this page when you quote a number.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much LP do you need for Challenger on EUW?

On September 23, 2026 the lowest Challenger player on EU West had 2,195 LP, so that was the number to beat. The figure changes every day at the midnight recalculation.

Is the Grandmaster cutoff the same on every server?

No. On September 23, 2026 it ranged from 688 LP on Turkey to 1,616 LP on EU West. Every server has its own seat count and its own players, so each one has its own cutoff.

Why can I have more LP than the cutoff and still not be Challenger?

Riot only promotes at the daily recalculation, at midnight in your region. What counts is your LP at that moment, and players who climb before then can push the line above you.

How many Radiant players are there in Valorant?

Up to 500 per region, and only players above the region's minimum RR count. Korea had fewer than 500 on September 23, 2026, because the player at rank 500 had 195 RR against Korea's 200 RR minimum.

Summary

  • Challenger took 2,195 LP on EU West and 1,209 LP on Turkey on September 23, 2026.
  • EUNE had the widest step from Grandmaster to Challenger, 661 LP.
  • Grandmaster cutoffs rose on all six League servers in two days, by 199 LP on EU West.
  • Radiant took 628 RR in Asia-Pacific and 302 RR in North America, and Korea had seats left at 200 RR.
